Before prescribing the drug, an examination should be carried out and the causes of cough should be identified.
Caution should be exercised when taking the drug in patients with increased intracranial pressure.
The drug should not be administered simultaneously with mucolytic and expectorants, with productive cough.
During long-term treatment or when using the drug in doses exceeding the therapeutic ones, addiction or withdrawal syndrome may develop.

When used concomitantly, ethanol increases the sedative effect of Neo-Codion.
